I may be dating myself, but I thought about the movie the “Creature from the Black Lagoon” when I saw a poetry contest at Big Cypress’ website. It asked visitors to write about their experiences. After I saw pictures of hikers wading through the swamp with a tour guide, I wondered what inspirations they would pen.
Big Cypress is sponsoring a poetry contest as part of National Poetry Month. Entries must be received by April 15.
