Yada, yada, yada…talking about art is not art

language of impressionism

“The Language of Impressionism” will be on display at my exhibit Sept. 21-27 at Miami Beach Botanical Garden.

I spent most of my summer doing what I love…painting pastels. My daughter once called and asked me what I was doing. “Drawing”,  I said. She replied,” Every time I call you that is what you say.”  My answer: “I am drawing, I have drawn, and I will draw.” Lately though the business of art has taken the place my creativity. What’s the point in drawing if you never exhibit? Drawing is not an end in itself. Art is a business. But don’t get me started on that! So now I spend every waking moment on an exhibit about my art from Monet’s Garden and Art Deco buildings. Creating is just one aspect of what an artist does.
